A casualty of this contest was Indiana’s Tyrese Haliburton who injured his right achilles tendon in a drive up the court in the first quarter. Tyrese had nine points at this juncture but fell down in terrible pain tapping the court. The game resumed and Shai Gilgeous Alexander and Isaiah Hartenstein dominated for OKC.Alexander with 29 points and 12 assists,and Hartenstein with nine boards as the Thunder pulled away in the second half and never looked back. Benedict Mathurin led Indiana with 24 points and 13 boards. Tyrese Haliburton’s father was shown after his sons injury occurred,and was visibly shaken. The Thunder celebrated as ex Bulls guard Alex Caruso joined in with his new teammates in a raucous party.
