Cubs 8 Rockies 6…A win is a win but the Cubs gave up some “garbage” runs late in the game.The Game was one sided at first until Colorado found their stroke.Matt Shaw hit a two run triple and scored a run.Seiya Suzuki also added a RBI and scored a run.Chicago led 7-0 early and ultimately triumphed 8-6.The Cubs open a three game series this Friday against the Toronto Blue Jays.

New York Yankees 12 Chicago White Sox…The way to keep a division lead is to win two out of three in a series.The White Sox have their work cut out for them against the Yankees after dropping game one.The Yankees laid a mack Daddy on the Sox,blowing them out of the water on Tuesday night.Oh well tomorrow is another day so they say.Spencer Jones hit a home run and scored.The Yankees scored three times in the third and the fourth as there was no doubt as to the outcome of this one.The White Sox continue their series with the Yankees Wednesday night in the big apple.

Chicago White Sox 6 Los Angeles Dodgers 4…The improvement continues on the south side,as their rebuild has become a pennant chase.The Dodgers came to town and ran into a buzz saw.The Sox scored all six of their runs in the sixth inning.The White Sox triumphed 6 to 4 over the world champs who are somewhat healthy and not suffering from the injury bug.Colton Montgomery hit a two run shot in the sixth.Chase Meidroth went yard as well in the sixth as did Sam Antonacci.The White Sox travel to Gotham to take on the New York Yankees.

New York Knicks 94 San Antonio Spurs 90…Start spreading the news once again,after 53 years,the New York Knicks are world champions once again.After defeating the San Antonio Spurs 94 to 90 the Knicks win it all and take the series four games to one.The Knicks had a never say die attitude and Gotham is still rocking.Spike Lee,a film maker and life long Knicks fan,said they are never out of a game.”No lead is safe” was a quote from Spike.Tons of celebrities converged on San Antonio to watch the Knicks take home their first title in over fifty years.Jalen Brunson scored 45 points to lead all scorers and take home the finals MVP award.Josh Hart had 11 boards for the Knicks.Mikal Bridges had 4 assists to lead New York.Wemby hauled down 14 boards ,but was stymied offensively by “big Kat” Karl Anthony Towns.”Back to back” was a quote from Spike Lee as the Knicks are living in the moment after winning it all on Saturday night.

Chicago White Sox 2 Atlanta Braves 1…A nail biter is defined as something precariously close.Wednesdays White Sox game would definitely qualify as Chicago just barely triumphed.Luis Angel Acuna had a RBI and Derek Hill had a RBI and scored a run ,all in the fourth inning.The Sox held on to win 2 to 1.The White Sox conclude their series with the Braves tomorrow at Guaranteed Rate Field.

New York Knicks 107 San Antonio Spurs 106…Start spreading the news the Knicks are on the cusp of a world title.O G Anunoby scored on a tip in with 1.2 seconds remaining and the Knicks are now just one win away from clinching the championship.Jalen Brunson led all scorers with 36 points,he also had 7 assists to lead the Knicks. Big Kat had 10 boards as Karl Anthony Towns continues his stellar season.Wemby had 24 points but was hamstrung all night by Big Kats sweltering defense.Game five is Friday night from San Antonio.

White Sox 6 Braves 5…Comebacks are the stuff Hollywood dreams are made of.The White Sox produced a comeback for the ages.Braden Montgomery provided 3 RBI’s,including a two run homer in the tenth that gave the south siders the win.Chicago trailed 4 to 0 early until the mounted a comeback to win 6 to 5 over Atlanta.The Sox take on the Braves tomorrow night at Guaranteed Rate Field.

San Francisco Giants 18 Chicago Cubs 3…When it rains,it pours,and for the Cubs there was a lot of rain.Not the kind that cancels the game,that would have been more acceptable.No this kind of rain refers to losses which the Cubs have been accumulating in droves.Today was no exception a 18 to 3 beat down at the hands of the Giants.San Francisco decided to go Cobra Kai on the Cubs and gave them no mercy.The flood gates opened early on when Matt Chapman hit a grand slam.Chapman homered twice,and suffice it to say there was little hope for the north siders.The Cubs play tomorrow afternoon at Wrigley as they continue their series against the Giants.

New York Knicks 105 San Antonio Spurs 95…The Alamo has seen conflict and this Wednesday there was a showdown between two warring factions.No,it was not the rebels vs. General Santa Anna’s army it was the Knicks vs. the Spurs with the big apple emerging triumphantly.105 to 95 was the final score and Jalen Brunson let his shooting do the talking.The Knicks point guard led all scorers with 30 points.Knicks forward Josh Hart led New York with 15 boards and 6 assists.Victor Wembyanma was held in check by Karl Anthony Towns,but he managed to score 26 points in a losing effort.The Knicks take game one with the next contest coming on Friday night.
